Our Story

Every watch starts the same way, with a cup of coffee.

At sea, the watch doesn't wait for you to feel ready. You show up in the dark, take your post, and keep the ship safe until your relief arrives. I'm James Cary, and I spent 11 and a half years in the Royal Canadian Navy standing those watches. A lot of those hours came with a cup of coffee in hand, and I learned that a good cup can carry you through a long watch.

Morning Watch Coffee was born from those early hours. Every bag is roasted fresh, whether it's a bold Cowboy Blend for the jobsite, a single-origin Colombia for a slow Sunday, or Pumpkin Spice for the first cold morning of fall.

We're proudly Canadian and veteran-owned, and we run the business the way the Navy taught me: show up, do the job right, and look after the people beside you.
